Khandvi

Ingredients:



 Besan: 1 cup
 Buttermilk: 1cup
 Water: 1cup
 Turmeric powder/haldi:  ¼ tsp
 Oil: 1 tbsp
 Curry leaves: 5 to 7
 Rai: 1 tsp  
 Green chilly: 1
 White sesame seeds: 2 tsp
 Salt to test
 A pinch of asafoetida/hing. 
 Fresh grated coconut  and half tsp red chilly powder for decorate,coriander.

Method: 


  • Mix all ingredients  in the pan.
  • Keep on stirring and mixing till all the lumps are dissolved and you get a smooth batter. there should be no lumps in the batter. you will see the khandvi batter has thickened more than the before.
  • Then spread on thali or kitchen platform (no need to spread oil on platform/thali)with smooth hand.

  • Then do tadka with 1 tbsp oil ,3 curry leaves,rai, sesame seeds,1 green chili,  ½ tsp red chilli powder.
    garnish with coconut,coriander leaves .
